The Hortus Amsterdam is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. Also the Orangery, which houses the Hortuscafé, is located in a centuries-old monument where you can dine among the exotic plants.
The spacious and bright Orangery offers a special ambiance for an exclusive dinner. The glass doors give direct access to the beautiful terrace in the garden. You can dine both indoors and outdoors. In case of bad weather, the terrace can be partially covered by tents. Beautiful candle lights and a campfire complete your party.
To be able to meet your wishes as much as possible when you hire room(s) with us for lunch, dinner or drinks, the Hortus works together with a selection of experienced caterers and suppliers who know the various rooms and their possibilities well.

The Orangery can be hired outside of regular opening hours (as from 17:00) for events.
