Tours on request
Would you like your group to be guided around the Hortus? A guide can be booked on every day until 5.00 p.m. If you rent one of the assembly rooms in the Orangery for the evening, a guided tour can be arranged after 5.00 p.m. The tours can be customized to your personal interests. The Hortus can arrange tours which focus on special themes like trees, medicinal plants, the greenhouses (very suitable on a rainy day!), religion, love and marriage, or evolution.
Guided tours can be arranged in Dutch, English, French and German. Each tour lasts about one hour, shorter if desired.
The maximum group size is 8 individuals per guide. If your group is larger, more guides are necessary. A tour during the day costs € 50.00 per group + the entrance fee. For those who rent an assembly room in the Orangery in the evening, the fee is € 50.00 per group.

Bookings have to be made at least 14 days in advance.
Guided tours on request are available on weekdays between 12.30-17.00 outside of school holidays and between 10.30-17.00 during school holidays and in the weekend. During the summer evenings (May to August on Thursdays and Sundays) guided tours are available between untill 20.00.
N.B. You will be charged for the number of guides that have been booked. Should the group size turn out smaller than expected on the day of arrival, the group will be divided in smaller groups among the present guides.
Note: Our Climate House will be closed for renovation from February 26th 2024. Guided tours will take place in the rest of the garden and greenhouses.
