Workshop: make your own paper flowers

9 November - 30 November

This event is ongoing

In this workshop in our Glass Room – in the middle of the beautiful autumn garden – you will learn to make true-to-life flowers under the guidance of Stine Berg Evensen.

With water colours, paper, a pair of scissors and some glue, you and the other participants will make beautiful flowers from paper – flowers that never wilt! Learn to look at a plant differently and discover all the wonderful details. We have two different workshops: in the first workshop on November 9, we will make the snake’s head fritillary (Fritillaria meleagris), in the second workshop on November 30 we’ll be making a daisy (Bellis perennis).

more information

Autumn is the time to plant bulbs for spring. The fritillary is a popular spring bloomer and if you can’t wait for these bulbs to sprout, you can make your own now (or maybe even two!). The daisy is the national flower of the Netherlands – how can you not love these cute white-yellow flowers that can liven up any patch of grass?

Stine Berg Evensen has her paper flower studio in Amsterdam. She makes her wonderful creations with watercolours, based on wild plants from her own neighbourhood and along the outskirts of the city. She has previously exhibited at Bezoekerscentrum Tenellaplas, the Zaans Museum and Paleis het Loo. Her work can also be seen (until the 1st of December) in our current exhibition at the Palmenkas ‘the medicinal garden’.

The workshops will take place on Saturday November 9 and Saturday November 30 in our Glass Room and both last a little over 3 hours. All materials will be provided.
There is room for 10 people per workshop, so be quick! We do not work with a waiting list.

Time: 10:00 – 13:30
Price: €60,- per person, including entrance to the garden and tea, coffee and sweets.
